Established in 2011 by Jane and Fiona, Associate Development Solutions (ADS) Ltd provides high-quality consultancy, professional development, and independent expertise to support service transformation in health and social care. Our bespoke solutions address the challenges faced by commissioners, service providers, and individuals in the sector.
Our Team
Our team comprises subject matter experts, including registered nurses, social workers, therapists, ex service managers, service improvement specialists, and a team of Young Advisors aged 16-24.
We bring extensive experience from various health and social care systems, working across the public, private, academic, and VCSE sectors at local, regional, and national levels.
Notable clients include the Department of Health, NHS England, NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, Mind, Rethink, Time to Change, and YoungMinds.

Fiona has held both senior leadership and academic positions. She brings a wealth of expertise from executive coaching, group coaching and facilitation, leadership development and solution-focused approaches in organisations, and she is passionate about the application of neuroscience in individuals, leaders, teams and organisations.
She is committed to enabling people to grow and to understand how they can thrive and excel in everyday life and professional situations, through brain-based approaches.

Jane has over 20 years’ public sector experience and has been the co-director of Associate Development Solutions, an award-winning organisation, for the last 10. Jane understands how organisations work to enable people to be their best, and collaboration, compassion and leadership are at the heart of everything Jane does.

Amanda Newman

Amanda has extensive management experience and holds qualifications in both leadership and coaching. She has over 32 years of experience in healthcare provision within services for children’s mental health, adult eating disorder services and early intervention for psychosis.
Amanda believes that connecting neuroscience information to our understanding of human behaviour really helps us to appreciate the impact our survival responses can have on our leadership behaviour, helping us to develop the skills needed to be more purposeful in our responses and decision making.
Amanda utilises her knowledge and skills in leadership, service transformation, transactional analysis, systemic thinking, group dynamics theory and neuroscience to deliver a learning experience that is highly engaging and rooted in lived experience.
Amanda is also a registered nurse (BSc Hons and RMN) and has training in systemic therapy, transactional analysis counselling and hypnotherapy.

An accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse, John holds a Master of Science in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Children & Young People). His approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, with a strong emphasis on communication, coordination, and creative problem solving.
John is known for his solution-focused mindset and his ability to inspire and lead multidisciplinary teams. His commitment to improving mental health outcomes is reflected in his strategic leadership and his passion for empowering both clients and colleagues through compassionate, effective care.

Gemma has 18 years’ experience across public, private and community mental health sectors, including inpatient care, internationally. Her most recent roles include serving as Service and Operations Manager of Youth Community Mental Health Services in both Early Psychosis and Primary Care in Australia. Her expertise in leading services through significant organisational change and service delivery adjustments arising from external impacts, such as the recent pandemic, benefitted these roles.
Gemma has successfully led teams through service design and operationalisation, internal and external quality and fidelity evaluations and peer-assessing mental health services across Australia. During this time, she developed skills in strategic and forward planning, tender applications and multi-service and team management.
Gemma’s passion for transformational service delivery and team clinical and professional development is demonstrated through improved workforce retention, clinical pathway improvement and innovative demand-management solutions.

Paul has a wealth of operational and strategic development of health services within the NHS.
He has over 30 years of working within CAMHS and young people’s mental health services. Over the time he has led and transformed services, with innovation and a strong emphasis on staff development.
As a registered nurse he has also worked clinically with children and young people with mental health problems. Since retiring from the NHS, Paul has turned his career to training and staff development with ADS. Within this context Paul feels that the Stress Mastery Course, having completed it himself, is an excellent way to understand and promote mental health and wellbeing in an easily accessible package.

Zoe is a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 30 years’ clinical experience in a variety of adult and children’s mental health settings. She uses cognitive-behavioural and EMDR interventions with adults, young people and their families who are experiencing mental health difficulties, adapting these to suit individual needs, developmental abilities and complex presentations. Zoe promotes and delivers ADS’s online therapy service – Thinking Through Therapy – a role that also involves developing, implementing and evaluating the processes and resources required to provide a high-quality service to those experiencing mental health difficulties.
Zoe is accredited as both a Therapist and Clinical Supervisor with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Having completed a Postgraduate Certificate in CYP IAPT Clinical Supervision, she is skilled and experienced in providing clinical supervision to nurses, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and low-intensity CYP IAPT practitioners. Zoe has also gained extensive experience as an Associate Lecturer, developing materials and teaching on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Clinical Supervision courses. Her passion for teaching has grown through providing training to clinicians on the assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental health presentations, both within the NHS and beyond.

Jasmine’s passion for mental health has stemmed from her own experience of supporting a family member.
She holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology, and has previous experience working in the education sector.
Currently, the Young Advisors are training students to become Mental Health Ambassadors within their schools, in the hope that this will further raise awareness about the importance of mental health.
Working with the Midlands Young Advisors has inspired Jasmine to continue to champion the voices and experiences of young people, while making sure that they are at the centre of all the work we do.

Josie has a passion for animals, particularly dogs. She holds an FdSc in Canine Behaviour and Training and a BSc (Hons) in Canine Behaviour Management.
Josie also has an interest in mental health from her own experiences and from supporting friends and family.
She has experience of working in admin roles from working in an emergency veterinary clinic and within the county court judiciary system.
Josie has worked for ADS since November 2022 and enjoys the varied tasks and responsibilities of the role. The admin team are involved with different aspects of the business and engage with all departments and manage diverse tasks.
Josie has recently completed a level-three qualification in business administration and achieved a distinction. She is looking forward to continuing her studies in the near future.
